Who this is for

You run a store on Magento 2, WooCommerce or BigCommerce. It works, mostly. But the hosting bill, the patching, the extension conflicts and the developer hours have become a tax on every month, and the next version upgrade looks like another project nobody wants. You have decided, or nearly decided, that Shopify is where the store should live.

What you want is simple: the whole store, moved, by people who have done it before, for a price you know before you start.

What a migration includes

Every migration we do covers the same ground. The estimate lists each item against your own store so there are no surprises.

Included in every migration Detail
Catalog Products, variants, images, categories as collections, attributes as metafields, inventory
Customers Accounts, addresses, groups as tags or B2B companies, newsletter consent
Orders Full history imported as read-only orders attached to each customer
Content CMS pages, blog posts, policies, menus
Design Theme set-up on a Shopify theme, or rebuild of your current design as a custom theme
Apps Each extension mapped to a Shopify feature, an app, or a small custom piece
Search rankings Every old URL redirected to its new one; sitemap, Search Console, 30 days of watching
Payments and shipping Gateways, tax settings, shipping zones and rates configured and tested
Testing Full test orders in staging, on desktop and phone, before any switch
Launch DNS switch at a time you choose, with the old store kept available for rollback
Handover Admin training session, written notes, and 30 days of post-launch fixes at no extra cost

The three things that move a store from one tier to the next are product count, how much of the design must be rebuilt, and how many extensions have no Shopify equivalent. The free estimate measures all three from your live store.

How it runs

  1. Free estimate (2 working days)

You give us the store URL. We read what is public, ask for read-only admin access if you are happy to give it, and send a written estimate: catalog size, extension list with Shopify equivalents, theme assessment, timeline and a fixed price.

  2. Scope and schedule (1 week)

Once you say yes, we write the full scope: every item in the table above against your store, the launch date, who is on the job. You sign; we start. Half the fee at start, half at launch.

  3. Build on a staging store (2 to 5 weeks)

Catalog and customers are imported and checked line by line. The theme is set up or rebuilt. Apps are configured. You get a login to the staging store from the first week and a short written log every working day.

  4. Test, then switch (1 week)

Test orders through every payment method and shipping rate, on desktop and phone. Final delta import of orders placed during the build. DNS switch at a time you choose, usually a quiet weekday evening in your time zone. Old store stays live for rollback.

  5. Watch and hand over (30 days)

We watch Search Console, redirects and checkout daily for 30 days and fix anything that moved. Training session for your team, written notes, and the care plan offer if you want someone on call.

Where we come from

RiantSoft was founded in Ahmedabad in 2009, the year Magento 1 was finding its feet. For seventeen years our engineers have built, patched, upgraded and maintained ecommerce stores, through Magento 1 end-of-life, Magento 2, and the move many store owners have since made to Shopify. We know what a Magento attribute set is, what an EAV table does to an export, and which WooCommerce plugins keep their data in places a standard migration tool never looks. That is why our estimates hold.

We are not a Shopify-only shop that has never seen the inside of the platform you are leaving. We are the engineers who understand both ends of the move.

Three ways to start

Questions people ask

How long does a Shopify migration take?

Four to seven weeks for most stores, counted from the day the written scope is signed to the day the new store takes live traffic. A small store on a standard theme can be done in three weeks. Stores with more than 5,000 products, B2B pricing or heavy custom extensions take eight to twelve weeks. The dates are written into the scope, and the old store keeps trading until the switch.

Will I lose my Google rankings?

Not if the redirects are done properly, and they are included in every migration we do. Every old URL (products, categories, CMS pages, images that rank) is mapped to its new Shopify URL with a permanent redirect, the sitemap is resubmitted, and we watch Search Console for 30 days after launch. Expect a small dip for two to four weeks while Google recrawls, then recovery. Stores usually come out faster, which helps rankings over time.

What about my order history and customer accounts?

Products, customers, orders, coupons, reviews and blog posts move. Customer passwords cannot move between platforms, so customers set a new password on first login; we send the announcement email for you. Order history imports as read-only records attached to each customer, so you and they can see past purchases.

Do you work with Shopify Plus?

Yes. Plus migrations are priced in the large tier because they usually involve B2B catalogs, multiple markets or checkout customisation. We also tell you honestly when standard Shopify is enough, which is more often than Plus sales teams suggest.

What happens to my Magento or WooCommerce extensions?

We list every extension or plugin, mark which ones Shopify does natively, which ones have an equivalent app, and which ones need custom work. The estimate shows the app subscription cost so the monthly running cost is clear. Custom logic that has no app equivalent is built as a small private app at a fixed price per piece, usually $600 to $2,000.

Why a fixed price and not hourly?

Because a migration has a known shape. We have done enough of them to price the whole job from the store scan. If something turns out to be bigger than the scan showed, we tell you before doing it and you decide. You never get an invoice you did not see coming.

Can my current developer or agency stay involved?

Yes, and often they should. We work alongside in-house teams and agencies, hand over documentation, and offer the same fixed prices to agencies who want us to do the migration under their name. See the page for agencies.

What do I need to give you to start?

Admin access to the current store (read-only is fine for the estimate), a Shopify account you own, and your domain registrar login when it is time to switch. Everything is set up in accounts that belong to you.
