What happens after you send this
- Within a few minutes you get an automatic email confirming we have it, with this page's promise written down.
- Within one US business day an engineer looks at your store and writes back if anything is unclear, or to ask for read-only admin access if you are happy to give it. Access makes the extension map exact; without it we work from what is public and say so.
- Within two working days you receive the estimate as a document you can forward to your team or another agency.
What the estimate contains
- Counts. Products, variants, customers, orders, CMS pages, as we read them, so you can check them against your own numbers.
- The extension map. Every extension or plugin in three columns: Shopify does it natively; a Shopify app does it (with the app's monthly fee); it needs a custom piece (with its fixed price, $600 to $2,000).
- Theme assessment. Whether a Shopify theme set up to your brand will do, or whether your design is worth rebuilding as a custom theme, with a view on phone speed.
- The case for staying. If your store depends on things Shopify cannot do without heavy app work, we say so. The estimate is only useful if it is honest.
- Timeline. Weeks from signed scope to launch, with the launch-day plan.
- A fixed price, in the tier it fits, valid for 60 days. Half at scope, half at launch.
What it does not do
It does not commit you to anything. It does not start a sales sequence. It does not get shared with anyone outside RiantSoft. If you take it to another agency to compare, that is a reasonable thing to do with it.
Questions people ask before sending
Do you need admin access to give an estimate? No. We can estimate from the public store; admin access makes the extension list exact. We ask for a read-only account, and you remove it afterwards.
Is the fixed price in the estimate the final price? Yes, for the scope described in it. If you add things later, the price changes in writing before any work. See the cost page for what moves the number.
What if my store is on Magento 1? It can still be moved; the data model is close to Magento 2. The estimate will note anything specific to older stores.
I run WooCommerce or BigCommerce, not Magento. Same form, same estimate. The pages for WooCommerce and BigCommerce explain the platform-specific points.
How quickly could we launch? A small store in about three weeks from the signed scope; most stores in four to seven; large or Plus in eight to twelve. If you have a date, write it in the form.
