What changed
Until recently a buyer typed "shopify migration agency" into Google and got ten links. Now the same buyer asks ChatGPT, or Google's AI Mode, or Perplexity: who should I hire to move my store to Shopify? and gets a short list with a few names and reasons. If your name is not in that list, you were never considered.
The lists are built differently from the old results. Measured across millions of citations in 2025 and 2026, the engines cite a vendor's own website a minority of the time; they draw most heavily on third-party sources: directory categories, review platforms, comparison articles, forums, and consistent descriptions of the business across the web. Pages that get cited answer the question directly at the top, in plain text, and are kept current.
That is the work. It is measurable, and most of it is engineering.
What we do
The AI Visibility Audit, $2,500
Ten working days. You get:
- A baseline. Your business's position for the twenty questions your buyers ask, across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews / AI Mode, run from a US location. Who is cited, which sources they came from, where you appear if at all.
- A source map. For your category: which directories, review sites, lists and articles the engines are actually drawing from, and your presence on each.
- A site read. Page by page, what prevents your pages from being used as an answer: structure, missing facts, thin or duplicated content, entity gaps, technical blockers (including whether the AI search crawlers can reach you at all).
- A plan. Every fix, its expected effect, its effort and its order. Priced as a sprint.
The audit fee is credited in full if you go ahead with the sprint.
The implementation sprint, $3,500 to $9,000
Four to eight weeks, scoped from the audit. Typically:
- Restructuring service and product pages so each answers one question, with the answer first.
- Writing or rewriting the pages that the audit found missing: the specific questions buyers ask that nobody on your site answers.
- Entity work: consistent description of the business, its people, locations and services across your site and the web; Organization and Person markup done properly.
- Third-party presence: completing the profiles that matter for your category, getting your reviews where the engines read them, and a target list of comparison articles with what each requires.
- Technical: crawler access, speed, canonical and duplicate clean-up, structured data that is actually used.
- A second measurement at the end of the sprint against the baseline.
AI Visibility Watch, $300 to $1,200 a month

What we will not sell you
- Files or markup that Google's own documentation says are not needed for AI features.
- Bought mentions, planted reviews or paid placements dressed as earned citations. The engines' spam policies now cover these.
- Pages generated in bulk. Twenty real pages beat two hundred thin ones, in classic search and in AI answers.
- A guarantee. We sell measurement and the work the evidence supports.
This site is the first case
RiantSoft.com was rebuilt in October 2026 on these principles, and we are measuring our own baseline the same way. The before-and-after for our own questions will be published here as it comes in. Until then, the honest answer to "show me a result" is: run the free check on your own business and see where you stand.

Questions people ask
Is this the same as SEO?
It overlaps and it differs. Google's AI Overviews and AI Mode draw from the same index as ordinary search, so classic technical SEO and clear, answer-first pages still matter there. ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini lean much harder on third-party sources: directory listings, review counts, comparison articles, mentions on other sites. A business can rank well in classic search and be invisible in AI answers, and the reverse. We measure both and work on both.
Can you guarantee we will be cited?
No, and anyone who does is guessing. What we can do is measure your position for a fixed set of questions before and after, do the work that the evidence says moves citations, and show you the change. The audit fee is credited against the sprint so you are not paying twice for the same thinking.
How long before results show?
On-site changes are reindexed by Google in days to weeks and by the other engines on their own schedules, typically four to ten weeks. Third-party presence (directory profiles, reviews, mentions) compounds over three to six months. The Watch plan re-runs your questions monthly so you see the curve rather than a single snapshot.
What exactly do you change on our site?
Pages are restructured so the direct answer to the question sits at the top in plain text, followed by the detail; each service gets one clear page rather than a list; the business, its people and its locations are described consistently and marked up as entities; prices and facts are stated as static text, not inside calculators or images; and thin or duplicated pages are merged. Nothing that Google's own documentation calls unnecessary (special AI files, exotic markup) is sold to you as a fix.
What do you do off-site?
We set up and complete the profiles the engines actually draw from for your category, which differ by industry; we identify the comparison articles and lists that get cited for your questions and what it would take to be on them; we make sure your reviews are where the engines read them; and we check that your business is described the same way everywhere. No bought links, no planted mentions: Google treats those as spam in AI features too.
Do you do this for ecommerce stores?
Yes, and it is one of the least crowded areas. Product and category pages can be restructured so that AI shopping answers can read them, with correct availability and price data. We also run the check for product-level questions, not just 'best company' questions.
Why is a software engineering firm offering this?
Because most of the work is engineering: page structure, entity markup, data consistency, measurement. RiantSoft's first clients came through search in 2009, and the team has watched that engine move into AI answers. We measure, change, and measure again, which is how we run every job.
